Description	ADAMTS-4 is a glutamyl endopeptidase that cleaves aggrecan and brevican. The degradation of aggrecan, a cartilage proteoglycan, has been linked to rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, retinal diseases, Alzheimers disease and other neurodegenerative diseases.
